*Caveat Emptor*

Please understand that the following reviews are written absent of an authoritarian stroke and are only out of a personal passion for two of my favorite art mediums. I do not pretend to be smarter than I am and strive only to come as close to my genuine opinion as possible without regard for public sway. I have logged exactly zero seconds in the classrooms of film school curriculum's and floated through the bulk of my High School educated grammar studies at a C- average. I do not write these reviews hoping to catch the eye of a large print conglomerate nor-as you shall see-to butter up artists and brown nose my way into the Hollywood elite or get in good with the literary snobs of the world. I only write them out of a pure love for the art of the camera and the pen and the stories and magic they create and hope to stimulate and curve dialogue into that which enriches conversations. Disagree with them, or agree with them, Find me foolish for my lack of insight or brilliant for my upper-echelon perceptiveness. That is ultimately up to you to decide. If I missed something blatantly obvious, or you have a point to make about something I may have missed, please send me an email @ dhiggs1984@yahoo.com. I'd love to discuss even the titles I thought were complete shit.

On a further note, if you have read Broad Street Tully then you know firsthand my disregard for grammatical structure. If it feels right and flows how I like-absent of typos-than I am happy. These reviews were deliberately written with hasty prose upon finishing either film or book to capture the lasting impression while it was at its freshest. So be fair warned, these are not Pulitzer-worthy essays, but closer to journal entries that I am willing to share with the world.

Enjoy!
